We take cider from it’s earliest stages-the rootstock and scion wood- and develop the healthy tree that can be planted in an orchard for cider apples. This is why we named the business “Cider Babies”.
Our Willamette Valley here in Oregon has such a temperate climate that tender nursery trees flourish. We have finished grafting for this year with cider varieties of apples such as Yarlington Mill, Porter’s Perfection, Dabinett, Kingston Black, and many, many others. We are continuing to acquire scion wood of cider varieties to create our own scion block. We are encouraging orders of rootstock for the next year for custom growing as well as selling our current stock of two year old trees. Our “babies” are growning up!
Bare root cider variety trees are still available for planting THIS spring on 3 rootstocks. We have semi-dwarf M106 and dwarf M26 & Nic29 sized trees. The grafting is already done for you and the trees are ready to go into your orchard. We accelerate your cider business by 2 years!
